Classic Cabbage Rolls
These classic cabbage rolls are a comforting and delicious meal, combining tender cabbage leaves with a savory filling of ground meat, rice, and spices, all baked in a flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 cabbage large head
- 500 grams ground beef raw
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 cup cooked rice cooked
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt na
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 1 teaspoon paprika ground
- 2 cups tomato sauce na
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Carefully remove the cabbage leaves and boil them until tender.
- In a bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, garlic, cooked rice, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place a portion of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf.
- Roll the leaves, tucking in the ends, to encase the filling.
- Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
- Pour tomato sauce over the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through.
