Homemade Sausage and Bean Feast
A homemade sausage recipe incorporating beans directly into the sausage mix for added fiber and flavor.
Ingredients
- 500g ground pork fresh
- 1 cup navy beans cooked and mashed
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- as needed natural sausage casings
Instructions
- Mix ground pork, mashed navy beans, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Stuff the mixture into natural sausage casings, twisting into links.
- Preheat the grill or skillet to medium heat. Cook the sausages until browned and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides.
