Homemade Sausage and Bean Feast

A homemade sausage recipe incorporating beans directly into the sausage mix for added fiber and flavor.

Ingredients
  • 500g ground pork fresh
  • 1 cup navy beans cooked and mashed
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • as needed natural sausage casings
Instructions
  1. Mix ground pork, mashed navy beans, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Stuff the mixture into natural sausage casings, twisting into links.
  3. Preheat the grill or skillet to medium heat. Cook the sausages until browned and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
  4. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
